Mission Statement

Rev. Brown School, as a faith-filled community, is committed to educating students in the skills necessary to further their education by an emphasis on basic skills. This intellectual growth occurs in an atmosphere where the Gospel principles are lived and applied. This environment is enhanced by incorporating the message of the Gospels in all subject areas and by instilling in the students, through interpersonal relationships, a desire to live their faith in their response and behavior towards others. We accomplish this by serving as role models in our daily activities within the school community and in our close relationships with those around us. We also achieve this by instilling respect, reverence, and acceptance of others and of the individual differences of others. The atmosphere is further enhanced by celebrating the Word in worshipping together as a community through the Eucharist, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, classroom prayer, and participation in various liturgies and prayer services. These shared celebrations unite us and remind us that God is calling each of us to be the very best we can.

Our parents, pastor, priests, and teachers recognize the need to provide a climate of love and respect for self and others. This climate is enriched by involving the students in parish and community projects and by making every effort to acquaint the students with social justice issues. Our aim is to encourage the students to become actively involved in responding to situations of human need.
