Principal Greeting

Mrs. Susan Santore

Welcome to Rev. George A. Brown Elementary School web page. We are a Pre-School to seventh grade school of 525 students located in beautiful Sparta, New Jersey. We are proud member of the Paterson Diocese. As a learning community we strive for the academic, emotional, and social success of our students. Our vision is to not only educate our students for today but also to create a strong foundation for students to build on as lifelong learners. Every person in our school community is an integral part of the educational experience at Rev. Brown. The Parent Guild, here at Rev. Brown plans and implements important activities, fundraisers, and events. In addition, the Parent Guild through hard work and dedication has provided valuable financial support to our school. Our strong partnership with the parents allows us to work together to achieve common goals for the benefit of all students.

We are very proud of the students at Rev. Brown School. Our curriculum is guided by the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. The students work diligently on literacy, mathematics, science and social studies. Spanish instruction begins in kindergarten level and continues through each grade level. The students also participate in our strong music, art, library, and physical education programs. Technology is an important tool for many of the subject areas; we have a computer lab equipped with new computers and smart boards.

Rev. Brown is certainly a busy place where students learn all day long. If you walk through our halls you will hear the sounds of engaged learners talking and laughing. The students’ work hanging on the walls symbolizes hours of thinking and creativity.

As the Principal of Rev. George A. Brown School I am honored to be a part of a school where the top priorities of the learning community is God and the education of our students, If you would like to get in contact with me, please feel free to contact me by phone (973) 729-9174 or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
