Makerspace

Makerspaces are physical places for students to work together and enrich their educational experiences. It brings state-of-the-art technology into learning to enable, motivate, and inspire all students, regardless of background, languages, or disabilities, to achieve. It leverages the power of technology to provide personalized learning instead of a one-size-fits-all curriculum, pace of teaching, and instructional practices.

Throughout the year, students continue to build on prior knowledge and develop a new set of skills using tools, technology, and a variety of materials. They begin with a challenge or a problem to solve and develop a plan using the tools provided. Some challenges are independent and some are worked on with a team. The projects are STEAM based (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) and invite inquiry and problem-solving using multiple pathways.
